âI'm a commercial product photographer & motion director specializing in technology, cosmetics, apparel, and liquid action shots. I'm a fanatic for beautiful lighting and love a good technical challenge. It might explain why I get really excited when my clients come to me with complex ideas.â
PERSONAL LIFE
âHow did I get into photography? Well, here is the story. At fourteen, I took a quest across the United States, biking from California to Maryland. Accompanied by two family friends and a film camera, my passion for photography was born.â
PROFESSIONAL LIFEâ
âAs an artist, I'm always trying to push myself creatively, but let's be honest, the magic happens when you least expect it. To discover something new, you have to try and try again. That's why when I'm not doing a job, I experiment as much as possible to discover new processes and collaborate with other creatives. The critical thing for me is to fail on my own time and learn from it, pick up the pieces and develop something visually unique. Workaholic? Probably.
I attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, where I received my BFA and was awarded âBest In Showâ for my Final Portfolio in 2012.â
CLIENTS INCLUDE: AAA, Biossance, Ariat, Old Navy, Gap, Cisco, Everlane, Monti Kids, Shutterfly, Walmart, Stitchfix, Motiv, The Real Real.
My task on set is to collaborate with each brand's art director and execute high-quality images that capture each product's natural textures and sheen. The creative images we create require all hands on deck, from an onsite retoucher to the delicate touch of the cosmetic stylist. We often defy gravity through intricate set builds, but this is worth it for maximum image quality and control.
Biossance came to me to match the lighting quality and style of their still photography to video world. I also had the welcome opportunity to present creative concepts to help promote the product being showcased
